My Tweetstock Coffee Challenge

Dave Delaney

Tweetstock Coffee Challenge I had the great fortune of attending and speaking at Tweetstock last week in Brantford, Ontario. Were you there?

I was fortunate to share the stage with good friends @mitchjoel, @cc_chapman, and @johnmorgan, and new friends @karensd, @RebeccaHarrisDr, and @mouselink. Be sure to follow these smart people!

My presentation was about the value of business networking. I stressed the importance of taking advantage of being at a conference with like-minded people. Finding interesting people you want to network with is often part of the challenge of networking. Tweetstock instantly provided this to everyone in attendance.

I ended my presentation with a Tweetstock Coffee Challenge. I have written before about the importance of coffee in networking. In fact, I have a chapter dedicated to it in my book, New Business Networking.

The challenge was to have one coffee in the next thirty days after the conference. The audience was directed to a link which automatically composed a tweet. The tweet read "I'm taking @davedelaney's #tweetstock8 Coffee Challenge."

I was so happy when I began to read the replies from eager people willing to meet over coffee. I plan to follow those who took part in my challenge. I hope they share their stories in the comments here.
